Infection and Prevention Control
Infection control is a foundational responsibility in dental hygiene and is guided by standards from the ADA, CDC, and OSHA to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and ensure a safe clinical environment. Throughout my education and clinical experience, I have consistently applied these protocols by performing proper hand hygiene, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following correct instrument sterilization procedures, disinfecting clinical surfaces, and safely handling sharps. I recognize the importance of maintaining accurate sterilization records and practicing standard precautions with every patient. By remaining attentive to these procedures and continuing to develop my knowledge, I am committed to protecting the health and safety of my patients, colleagues, and the community.
