My name is Monet Ware, and I am currently pursuing a double major in Dental Hygiene and Health Sciences at Tennessee State University. As a first generation college student, I entered this field with determination, curiosity, and a commitment to serving my community. I began my dental journey in high school, where I earned my Dental Assisting and Radiology licenses. During that time, I shadowed and later worked in a privately Black owned dental practice, which strengthened my appreciation for patient centered care and representation within healthcare spaces.

Through my clinical experiences and education, I have learned the importance of promoting oral health as an essential part of overall well being. I am passionate about advocating for equal access to dental care, especially in low income communities where resources and insurance coverage may be limited. I believe every patient deserves respect, education, and compassionate care that empowers them to take charge of their oral health.

This portfolio reflects my growth in clinical skills, professional development, community engagement, and dedication to lifelong learning. As I continue in this journey, my goal is to serve with intention, uplift the communities I represent, and contribute to a more inclusive and accessible future in dental hygiene.
